The relationship I have had with my body has been like a roller coaster, full of ups and downs, where with a lot of effort and self-love I have managed to improve it.

I did this photo session at a very significant moment in my life, because I had recently been hospitalized for depression and anxiety. One of the factors that triggered this situation was precisely the relationship I had with my body and the way I perceived it. For a long time I did not feel comfortable with him; I constantly belted myself to prevent my love handles from falling out, I followed absurd diets that I found on the Internet, which obviously did not work. I would often compare it to the other girls and berate myself for not being able to be pretty enough like them. I had a lot of rejection towards my appearance, to the point that I began to hurt my arms and legs as a form of punishment, because I firmly believed that I was not up to the standards of beauty that society imposed on me since I was little. Countless times I sought approval from my body in other people to feel good, but that feeling of well-being was fleeting, as soon as it came it left immediately and the routine of judging myself continued to grow over time.

I had never participated as a model in photographs without clothes before and despite the nerves of the moment, I began to feel free and calm; as if my body was forgiving me and thanking me for having had the courage to reconcile with it.
