I asked for peace for myself when I realized that in my heart there was only pain and betrayal, when I understood that I was at war with my body and my mind, when I understood that my reality was right now and I couldn’t change it, but instead, I had to accept her and love her.
I asked for peace for myself when I felt the need to throw everything away, when I felt that it was no longer enough, that my heart would not resist.
I asked for peace for myself, because of the need to be calm with myself and with others, despite the damage, despite the pain.
I asked for peace to heal and I found that beyond pain is self-love, the desire to get up and go out with my head held high, to look at new horizons and find myself free by loving myself.
