We are fed up with fear, because on a day like today, a mother waits in tears for her daughter to return home, because on a day like today, another girl disappears unjustly. Because on a day like today, one more of us has been judged, silenced, violated, punished for being born a woman and justice does nothing.
In 2020 there were 227 cases of femicide in Colombia and in the last 4 months of that same year there have been 58 thousand calls to the national hotline for violence against women. In consideration of these worrying and high figures, we have captured on Tania’s skin some of the names of the victims. Because we want to be free, but above all, we want to be alive?
We continue to maintain the intention of the project so that any woman can participate, recognize herself, see herself with more confidence, forget complexes and truly love herself.
